Akshay Nair is a seasoned investment professional with over 18 years of experience across global financial markets. As Chief Investment Officer at Century Financial, he leads the firm's investment research and market strategy, translating complex market dynamics into clear, actionable insights for clients and internal teams alike.
With deep expertise spanning global equities, derivatives, fixed income, commodities, and currencies, Akshay brings a rare combination of institutional rigour and client-facing clarity. His background spans systematic and quantitative trading, multi-asset portfolio management, and risk management, capabilities he now channels into shaping Century Financial's broader investment framework.
Akshay's career at Century Financial has evolved through progressive leadership roles, Senior Investment Consultant, Head of Investment Consultancy, and Director of Client Relations, before stepping into the CIO position. This trajectory reflects both his market depth and his ability to build and lead high-impact advisory functions.
Prior to joining Century Financial, he managed global multi-asset portfolios and quantitative trading strategies at the institutional level, giving him a first-hand understanding of how sophisticated investment processes are built and sustained.
Akshay holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Mumbai and a Post Graduate Programme for Management Executives (PGPMX) from IIM Indore. He also completed a Global Immersion Program at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
He is a strong advocate for investor education and believes that disciplined investing, sound risk management, and a long-term perspective are the enduring foundations of wealth creation.
